Cherries in Maple Sugar

Ingredients:
2 (1 lb) cans water-pack tart red pitted cherries
1 cup maple sugar

Direction:
Place the cherry juice and maple sugar in a saucepan and boil for 10 minutes. Drop in the cherries and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
